We have been selling home furnishing fabrics from before the internet was viable. People would call us on our 800 number. During the time of transition, people were not ready to trust online buying, especially for a product like fabrics.

Scenario one:- What you receive looks a totally different colour from what you saw on the monitor.

Scenario two:- what you receive feels totally different from what you were expecting. Drapery feels like upholstery or upholstery feels like drapery.

Scenario three:- you prepay for a a bargain from another country and the delivery person is standing at your door asking for the COD charges for freight, HST, brokerage, fabric import permit. Unless you have made previous purchases, you may not have been expecting this. You are committed to the order because it was prepaid  but now you have to add in some or all of these fees.

To buy fabrics online, one way or another. you need to see and feel the fabric before you buy it. We, at Design Lines, carry a big (actually, huge) library of fabrics from many of the key fabric merchants (the favourites). People in Toronto and the GTA can visit us and select from our showcase library. Elsewhere across Canada it is good to have seen and felt the samples prior to ordering. For people outside the GTA and Southern Ontario we will provide samples (a 'for fee' service)

 If you have a fabric all picked out, just go to the tab at the top of the page for a 'quotation', fill in the details--we will check availabilty and quote you a price.

This will open up access to catalogued fabrics which would otherwise be hard to obtain. We try to make it simple. While we are making it simple we are providing fabrics based on 'street' prices in one of Canada's most competitive markets. Check us out and see how we stack up against prices you already may have.
